One Thing Will Save America
One Thing Will Save America
October 1, 2017
In the run up to the presidential election in 2008, the Lord spoke this to Dr. Billye Brim:
One thing will save America.
It is an awakening to God!
One thing will help Israel and the nations.
It is an awakening to God!
Dr. Billye Brim, June 29, 2008, Prayer Mountain in the Ozarks
By the time we arrived at the 2016 election cycle, American Christians were praying earnestly for a new direction for our country. But after the election, some of our prayer initiatives had faded. Then, this past summer (2017), a lady on the staff of Jim Bakker’s television show in Branson, Missouri saw these words in a dream:
“An Avalanche Is Coming to America-- NOW”.
What happened next? The “avalanche” happened! (Keep in mind that Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are part of the USA and Mexico is part of North America). The stress on our continent this summer and fall has been mind boggling. It has been very painful, and we remember it well: Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, anti-government riots in Berkley, CA and St. Louis, two powerful earthquakes in Mexico, record devastating fires in the western states and fear in California of a nuclear attack by North Korea in which some people are actually purchasing fall-out shelters.
Only God knows what else the future holds, as our government grapples with threats from two terrorist countries, Iran and North Korea. Will America be able to survive financially if more of the country is devastated? Will the trauma affect you, your family and your local area? Will you lose all your personal property, your savings and maybe even your life?
What was the purpose of this “AVALANCHE” and is God trying to send America a message? Looking back to the attacks on the United States on 9/11/ 2001, Oral Roberts said the following:
“When 9/11 struck, there was a fear that came into the hearts, even of My people of the Church and of people outside the Church. And millions the following Sunday or two rushed to go to church. But the preachers were not prepared. My Church was not prepared to deal with that, and people came to church and then nothing much happened and they dropped back and many of them went back to their bars…” (“The Wake Up Call,”page 10, Kenneth Copeland Publications 2004).
Since 9/11, our moral fiber has actually deteriorated significantly. We are now engulfed in more sin and debauchery than in any time in memory. Americans express terrible and unpatriotic sentiments toward our President our flag and our national anthem. Hopefully, we in the Church are being obedient to 1 Timothy 2:1-3, and praying for President Trump and other leaders first thing every day.
We are clearly at the end of days, and many Christians yearn to go home in the rapture. Why all the national disasters? God has two ways of bringing His children into submission and repentance. He prefers the first way, by BLESSING us with His goodness.
Romans 2:4 (NKJV) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
However, when His goodness is spurned, like any good Father, He turns to the second, more severe option, JUDGMENT:
Isaiah 26:9 (NKJV) For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
To reiterate this principle:
Romans 11:22 (NKJV) Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
It is time for an awakening in the Church, where people repent and turn back to God. The difference between a “revival” and an “awakening” is this. A revival affects the Body of Christ, but an awakening affects the entire society. We have many prophetic proclamations of the end time harvest. One of my favorites is from Arthur Burt. It is called the “No Ebb Prophecy,” meaning that once it begins it will increase and increase and increase until…the Church is removed and the Tribulation begins. Listen to this glorious proclamation.
NO EBB PROPHECY
“It shall come as a breath…
And the breath shall bring the wind…
And the wind shall bring the rain.
And there shall be floods and floods and floods…
And torrents and torrents and torrents.
Souls shall be saved like falling leaves from mighty oaks swept by a hurricane.
Arms and legs shall come down from heaven…
…And there shall be no ebb.”
Arthur Burt, 1934
A more lengthy and more current prophecy came from Tommy Hicks in 1961. You may find Tommy Hicks vision in its entirety many places on the internet. I encourage you to read and study what God intends to do, as He brings in the final harvest.
The Lord gave Tommy Hicks the same vision-exactly the same-three times in a several day period. Many Christian leaders believe it is legitimate. Dare to make yourself one of the participants in it! It closes with these words:
“My life has been changed as I realized that we are living in that end time, for all over the world God is anointing men and women with this ministry. It will not be doctrine. It will not be a churchianity. It is going to be Jesus Christ. They will give forth the word of the Lord and are going to say, "I heard it so many times in the vision and according to my word it shall be done."
Oh, my people, listen to me. According to my word, it shall be done. We are going to be clothed with power and anointing from God. We won't have to preach sermons, we won't have to have persons heckle us in public. We won't have to depend on man, nor will we be denomination echoes, but we will have the power of the living God. We will fear no man, but will go in the name of the Lord of Hosts!”
How do we get from where we are now to a “Great Awakening”? We begin with prayer, fasting and giving to the poor. We must not live like secular society. Mike Bickle says it like this: “It’s not OK that most of our leaders in the Body of Christ are still addicted to some kind of low-level substance abuse or pornography… There’s so much immorality, there’s so much addiction, in the leadership of the Body of Christ! It goes all the way from low grade to high-grade addictions and involvement in all kinds of things. The prayer meetings are empty, the altars are empty, the sick stay sick, there’s division everywhere…
There’s a day and a moment and an hour where we say, ‘Why not me? I’m a weak, broken person. I’m a candidate for the grace of God.’ ”
Extreme Times Require Extreme Measures,

To that end, some leaders in the Body of Christ have recently signed the so called “Nashville Statement.” John Piper defines the Nashville Statement: “The Nashville Statement is a Christian manifesto concerning issues of human sexuality. It speaks with forthright clarity, biblical conviction, gospel compassion, cultural relevance, and practical helpfulness. There is no effort to equivocate for the sake of wider, but muddled, acceptance.”
We pray, fast and turn back to the Lord. We refuse to compromise with the world’s moral standards. We adhere to a strict belief in traditional Christianity. God answers with an awakening and then…
We go home in victory!
