Dangerous End Time Deception

Dangerous End Time Deception
This ministry is dedicated to preparing the Jews, the nations and the Church for the return of the Lord. When we began in 2003, many scoffed at the idea that we were entering a time of judgment in America and around the world. Today, with international economic crises, sexual licentiousness and... Dangerous End Time Deception

May 1, 2017

Would you like to know what will be the sign of Jesus’ coming, and the end of the age? His disciples asked Him that exact question in Matthew 24:3. Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying,

“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

Scholars call Jesus answer the “Olivet Discourse” since most of His answer was given after they had crossed over  from the Temple Mount to the Mount of Olives. We glean much understanding of what a dangerous time this will be by listening to Jesus next words in Matt 24:4:  And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one DECEIVES  you.

The definition of “deceive” in Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary is: “To mislead the mind; to cause to err; to cause to believe what is false, or disbelieve what is true;” The next verse, Matt 24:5, warns against the greatest of all deceptions, for it is the one that destroys the human soul for all eternity. Matt 24:5: For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

The definition of “Christ” is “the anointed one.” In other words, many will come saying, “I am the one God chose.” The one with all the answers. The true prophet of God. We know that one of those deceivers, the one they call the “antichrist,” will ultimately rule the world for 3&1/2 years: Revelation 13:5  And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue  for forty-two months.

Furthermore, we know somewhere along the way he will cease saying he REPRESENTS God, and begin saying he IS god, as described in 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4.  Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God  in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

This evil man who will rule the Revived Roman Empire and attempt to subjugate the whole world has many titles.

Old Testament Titles of Antichrist: “The Assyrian.”  Isaiah 10:5; 14:25; 30:31; 31:8; Micah 5:5,6; “The Wicked.”  Isaiah 11:4; “King of Babylon.”  Isaiah 14:4; “Terrible One.”  Isaiah 29:20.

In previous generations many people believed the antichrist would be a Roman.  This theory is based on Daniel 9:26 which says: “…the people of the prince that is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.”  The thinking is that since the Romans destroyed Jerusalem, the prince who is to come must be a Roman.

However, history tells us that Vespasian, the Roman general, was preparing the SYRIAN Legion to lead the invasion of Jerusalem.  When he was summoned back to Rome to become emperor, after Nero’s suicide, his son Titus took over. It was the SYRIAN 12th & 15th Legions that Titus called upon to attack Jerusalem and the Temple.  Therefore, the people of the prince who is to come were SYRIANS. Notice in the list above, the most common name of the antichrist in the Old Testament is “the Assyrian.”

Furthermore, Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible, 1963 says this: “ … the little horn or Antichrist comes out of the 10 horns of Revised Rome …He comes from Syria, one of the four divisions of the Grecian Empire” (Daniel 8:9,23 & 11:36-45) p.1471.

The “spirit of antichrist” is the spirit that denies the Lord Jesus is the Son of God. Some misguided people say Jesus is “a good man” and “a prophet” but NOT the Son of God. However, John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His ONLY  BEGOTTEN  SON…”

The antichrist spirit teaches erroneously that God has no Son. The earliest written record of this core Islamic belief is written on the inside wall of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. It says in Part: “(Allah) the mighty, the wise, declares that God and his angels bless the Prophet [and] call upon Christians to recognize Jesus as an apostle of God, His word and spirit but NOT HIS SON.” (Emphasis added)

Contrast that with 2 John2:22,23: 22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is ANTICHRIST  who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever DENIES THE SON  does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. (Emphasis added)

Today most Bible teachers believe the antichrist will be a Moslem leader. In Islamic theology he is called the “Hidden Imam” (Holy Man) or the “Mahdi” (promised one).  Shiite theology says Allah will send him back to earth from the “greater occultation” where he is waiting right now.  According to their theology, he rides out of the desert on a white horse.  Listen to this warning from Jesus, not to follow any “holy man” who comes riding out of the desert.

23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it…25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the DESERT! DO NOT GO OUT…’'   Matthew 24:23,25,26A

Scripture repeatedly tells us that when Jesus returns at the end of the Tribulation, He will appear riding out of the sky. There can be no deception, since antichrist cannot imitate that! Jesus’ return from the sky is in both testaments. Isaiah 31:5 Like birds flying about,
So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.
Defending, He will also deliver it;
Passing over, He will preserve it.”

Revelation 19:11 11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

Jesus forewarned four times in the Olivet Discourse that deception would be rampant at the end of days. Today we see deception in marriage laws, sexual identity, drug usage and many other sins.  Mike Bickle says this, in his 2009 Online Teaching Library, page 47:

“The conflict in the end times will center upon defining who Jesus is and how we love Him.  We must love God on His terms.  Love for God is loyalty to His truth, as seen in Jesus. Our love must be expressed in alliance with the Jesus of the Bible, not the Jesus of humanistic sentiment.

Truths about Jesus that offend humanists include His deity and, thus, His right to establish absolute standards of living.  Jesus does not accept humanistic views of righteousness and love that exclude Jesus as the only way of salvation and His right to judge sin, now and in eternity.”

Be bold in your confession and say with Joshua: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
