American Heroes in Israeli History
This ministry is dedicated to preparing the Jews, the nations and the Church for the return of the Lord. When we began in 2003, many scoffed at the idea that we were entering a time of judgment in America and around the world. Today, with international economic crises, sexual licentiousness and... President Trump announced earlier this year that the United States will transfer our American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem this year. The target date for this event is May 14, the 70th anniversary of the founding of the modern State of Israel. Many Moslems and leftists oppose this move. How will this all turn out?

Let us first consider a prophecy that was fulfilled on May 14, 1948 as the modern state of Israel was born.  The ancient prophet, Ezekiel, had foretold it.
Ezekiel 37:21-22 (NKJV)

21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;

The New York Times recorded the event on May 15, 1948 writing: “The declaration of the new state by David Ben Gurion, chairman of the National Council and the first Premier of reborn Israel, was delivered during a simple and solemn ceremony at 4 p.m., and new life was instilled into his people, but from without there was the rumbling of guns…”

Led by Ben Gurion, the Jews in Tel Aviv had issued a Proclamation, declaring the reasons for re- establishing their country. It read in part:

“The land of Israel was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here their spiritual, religious and political identity was shaped. Here they first attained to statehood, created cultural values of national and universal significance and gave to the world the eternal Book of Books…

“The catastrophe which recently befell the Jewish people(Holocaust of World War II) — the massacre of millions of Jews in Europe — was another clear demonstration of the urgency of solving the problem of its homelessness by re-establishing in Eretz-Israel the Jewish State, which would open the gates of the homeland wide to every Jew and confer upon the Jewish people the status of a fully privileged member of the community of nations…

“On the 29th November, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in Eretz-Israel; the General Assembly required the inhabitants of Eretz-Israel to take such steps as were necessary on their part for the implementation of that resolution. This recognition by the United Nations of the right of the Jewish people to establish their State is irrevocable…

“This right is the natural right of the Jewish people to be masters of their own fate, like all other nations, in their own sovereign State. . .”

In fact, President Harry Truman had been warned by most of his advisers in May of 1948 NOT to recognize the fledgling Jewish State.  Truman’s cabinet warned that it would provoke an immediate war with the Arab Moslems, which it did. Secretary of State George Marshall vociferously opposed the founding of a Jewish State and the entire American delegation to the UN threatened to resign.  Nevertheless, President Truman was persuaded to support Israel’s claims by international Jewish leader Dr. Chaim Weizmann.

On May 14, 1948 @ 6:11 pm EST President Harry Truman made history by recognizing the State of Israel eleven minutes after it was born.  His name will live on as a “hero of the faith” forever.

The next day, May 15, 1948,  the “War of Independence” began. It was one of many wars the modern state of Israel has had to endure to defend their God-given right to the land.  This year, 2018, we can expect another momentous event to occur on May 14, exactly 70 years after modern Israel was “born”.  President Trump has declared the American Embassy, currently located in Tel Aviv, will be moved to Jerusalem because Jerusalem is Israel’s declared capital city. He may even travel to Israel for the occasion.

Moslems, many Europeans and declared anti-Semites all over the world object to moving Israel’s capital, for various reasons.  The Palestinians consider Jerusalem their capital and reject Israel’s claim of an ancient presence there.  However, the evidence of Israel’s presence in the ancient holy city is verifiable by archeology and history, as well as the Word of God.

Many scholars saw the birth of  Israel in 1948 as an “intermediate fulfillment” of Isaiah 66:8.

Isaiah 66:8 (NKJV)
Who has heard such a thing?
Who has seen such things?
Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day?
Or shall a nation be born at once?
For as soon as Zion was in labor,
She gave birth to her children.

A “final fulfillment” of this verse will occur at the end of the Tribulation, when the entire Jewish nation and all Jewish people will be “born from above” in one day.

Zechariah 12:10 (NKJV)
10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

This future event was confirmed by the great apostle Paul.

Romans 11:26-27 (NKJV)
26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”

As part of  the end time drama, President Trump has approved the transfer of our American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, against the counsel of many of his advisors. Mr. Trump has declared, “ It is the right thing to do!”  Jews, Christians and fair minded Americans citizens salute him.  He, like President Truman before him, will achieve a place of honor in history and probably be known forever as one of the modern “heroes of the faith.”

In fact, every U.S. President since 1995 ran for president on a campaign promise to move the American embassy to Jerusalem. Until now, no other president had fulfilled this promise. Finally, a President that will keep his word!

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Satan, the enemy of the Jewish people, will probably attempt to retaliate against Israel and/or the United States for this decision.  Nevertheless, Israel will prevail, and Prime Minister Netanyahu has been effusive in his praise for Mr. Trump’s bold move.  On May 14 history will be made, and there will be no turning back. Jerusalem has been preordained by the Word of God to eternally be the “the city of the great King” (Psalm 48:2; Matt 5:35). No power on earth or in hell can change that. God bless President Trump for bringing it to pass. God bless Israel and God bless the United States of America!
